Betty MacDonald, who lived on Vashon when she wrote her bestseller, The Egg and I and her portrait of her family's Vashon life, Onions in the Stew, was born 100 years ago on March 26. Come and celebrate her humor and her enduring character, Mrs. Piggle Wiggle.

2pm: "Betty MacDonald Slept Here" - Betty MacDonald's memoirs offer detailed descriptions of nearly every house in which she lived.
